I’m going to start giving tips on other areas of social media, like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, et cetera.  This is an undocumented tip that will double your speed when you are looking through Facebook pictures.

The key is to use the right and left arrows.

Let’s try to help you see Facebook pictures faster.

What you probably do now:

If someone posts a picture, or if you decide to look at the pictures from someone’s profile, you probably go to the first picture, and then click the Next button in the upper right hand corner.  If you want to go back to a previous picture, you move the mouse to the Previous button and click it.

The new way, using the right and left arrows:

If you are looking at any picture in Facebook, you can actually use the right and left arrows to move to the next picture or the last picture in a series.

The odd thing is that it doesn’t always work the first time.  Sometimes, you have to use the mouse to click on the first picture in a series of pictures, which is another way of clicking to the Next picture.  However, after that, you can use the right and left arrows!  For some reason, Facebook doesn’t bother to tell you that.  You can even hold down the right arrow to have Facebook speed though the photos.

Also, if you go to a picture and use the right click and nothing happens, it may be that the picture is the only one in a photo album.  If you look in the upper left hand corner , it will say “Photo 1 of 1”.

Cool, huh?   Happy faster Facebook foto finding.
